Koru Care Otago Charitable Trust

Formed in 1988, Koru Care Otago is a Charitable Trust made up of Otago residents. Originally founded by Air New Zealand staff, it now includes a wide group of people interested in our work. We rely on financial support from a wide variety of community organisations, private companies and individuals.

Every year, Koru Care Otago makes dreams come true for children with serious illnesses and/or disabilities. We do this by taking them to the theme parks on the Gold Coast of Australia. During the rest of the year, much of the Trust's work involves fundraising, so that most of the trip costs are covered. In addition, Trust members travel with the children, providing round the clock care and companionship.
